The most important thing is to know that in Puerto Montt is the distribution to go to the different communes that belong to that Territory. From there you can get to any destiny. Being the nearest and easiest access the commune of Cochamó, which still belongs to Llanquihue’s Province.
To arrive at Puerto Montt you can fly from Santiago, Concepción, Temuco, etc. By bus; there is constant transportation from everywhere to this city, or by car by the “Ruta 5” also called “Panamericana”.

Through the same “Carretera Austral”, is the access to Hualaiué commune. Here you have to take the ferries that crosses the Reloncaví Estuary. From Caleta La Arena to Caleta Puelche.
If this is the chosen route, you can continue by the “carretera” until arriving Hornopirén, then to Caleta Gonzalo where you can have access to Chaitén, Futaleufú and Palena commune.
There are also flights in light aircraft to the different aerodromes of the communes, same as public land transportation, which is more constant.
